Students who just took the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are threatening to sue the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board over alleged glitches during the examination that led to mass failure.
The results, which were released on Friday, showed that over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 out of 1.9 million. There were complaints of incomplete questions and various problems that disrupted the exam.
According to the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the mass failure was merely a reflection of JAMB’s efforts against malpractice.
The proceedings of the suit against JAMB, which were announced on Sunday, will commence today, Monday, at the Federal High Court with education advocate and Chief Executive Officer of Educare, Alex Onyia.
