People living in South East were thrown into tension and fear on Wednesday as unknown gunmen moved around enforcing the one-week sit-at-home declared by the Simon Ekpa-led faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

However in a new video that surfaced online a group of unknown gunmen were flogging primary school pupils, along with their teachers in Enugu State West.

The traumatized pupils were crying, pleading with the masked men that they only came to write their Common Entrance Examination.

A voice behind the video, believed to be one of the unknown gunmen was asking the pupils and teachers why they disobeyed the sit-at-home order while giving them lashes of strokes of cane.

The armed men were overheard in the video asking the pupils “Why did you people come out today that you know is sit-at-home?

“I want everybody to obey the rules of Biafra. If they flog you today, you people will know that you don’t need to come out any day we have sit-at-home. You should not ever violate again the rules of the government of Biafra.

“Any day they ask you to come out on the day of sit-at-home, tell them you won’t go to school because they have sit-at-home. That’s why we’re supposed to give you a little punishment.”

One of the students replied in tears that they will not come out again when asked what they have to say about the whole scenario.
