With the recent bashing over the religious comments made by the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, public affairs commentator Shehu Sani has referred to the ex-governor as a bigot.

El-Rufai in a gathering was addressing the cross-section of people and had said the All Progressive Congress used religion as a tool to make Bola Tinubu Nigeria’s leader.

The former Kaduna central senator was lamenting the number of Christian clerics killed during El-Rufai’s eight years as governor.

Sani said El-Rufai never visited any member of the deceased cleric’s family to pay condolence all through his period as governor.

These claims were made by Sani on his Twitter handle: “Imagine a Governor of a State for eight years and these high profile clerics were murdered by terrorists in his state, and he never for once bothered to visit their families for condolence or even speak personally on the tragedies. If I don’t find a word bigger than a ‘bigot’, I’ll coin it.”
