Nigerian returnees from South Africa have landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport onboard an Air Peace aircraft on Thursday.

The renewed xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African citizens led the Federal Government to evacuate its people home.

Upon landing at the international airport, the returnees were given a starter pack by MTN Nigeria, which included N50,000 in airtime to reach family members and N100,000 in cash.

The Imo State government also pledged N1 million to returnees from its state. Currently, efforts are being made to transport the men, women, and children to their various locations.
