Police Arrest Robbers in Warri, Ughelli, Sapele, Recover Arms

Different suspects have been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command from Warri, Ughelli, and Sapele in connection with robberies, cult activities, and disrupting the peace of residents in the area.
On one of the operations carried out by the special assignment team led by Julius Robinson on February 27, 2026, at about 11:35, OgheneMaro Festus, involved in a house-to-house robbery, was arrested at Upper Agbarho after police stormed Ekredjebor. A pump-action gun loaded with two live cartridges was recovered from him while the others fled.
Meanwhile, residents in Sapele have been complaining of robberies carried out by a motorcyclist, and on March 1st, 21-year-old Prince Omanure, aka Anini, was arrested in the Ghana Area of Sapele. He led operatives to a bush along Warri-Sapele Road near the Trailer Park, where a fabricated Beretta pistol loaded with eight rounds of live ammunition was recovered.
Furthermore, a building was raided on February 27th at Okwagbe Street in Igbudu Warri, following intelligence that suspected cult members were assembling to launch attacks within the area.
Three suspects, Nelson Mudiagha aka Diara, Efe Nyore, and Ebube Ifeanyi, were arrested while others escaped.
The suspects confessed to being members of the Aye confraternity. During the search, a cut-to-size, locally fabricated double-barrel gun and 17 live cartridges concealed inside the building were found.
Investigations are currently underway to apprehend other fleeing members, while the rest will be charged in court.
