A public affairs analyst and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Delta State, Chief Pius Ovwbije is popularly known as Chief P.O.C says the majority of the aggrieved members of the party across the State have no problem with the governorship candidate of the party, RT. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori but their problem is with the person who is projected him, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for failing to fulfil his prosperity promise to Deltans.

Chief Pius made this known while speaking to Newsmen at Osubi Airport, in Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State.

He pointed out that all is not well with the PDP, both at the state and National level, as notable members are leaving the party.

Believing there could still be room to resolve issues before the 2023 general election, Chief P.O.C said more members are still in the party, but morale is low.

On the part of the governorship candidate, RT. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori reaching out to aggrieved members across the state, the former commissioner on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) says Sheriff cannot be reaching out to aggrieved members of the party on social media or pages of newspapers, as the old slogan of “Delta is PDP, PDP is Delta” no longer holds sway across party faithfuls in the state.

On the published list of the campaign council which included the names of former Governors James Ibori, Emmanuel Uduaghan and other chieftains of the party, Chief P.O.C asserted that by the time of the inauguration, the appearance or absence of some of the proposed campaign members will determine the direction the party ahead of the 2023 elections.
