One million dollars was demanded by the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council as a yardstick for its Governorship candidate in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, to grant an interview on Arise TV station.

On Monday, the new media campaign team of the party revealed that Okpebholo was not running away from interviews but had just been chosen on which media house to grant an interview.

This follows after the interview granted by Adams Oshimole on Arise TV when he was asked various questions about the Edo, State governorship election and his stand with the party’s the candidate.

On Okpebholo’s own end since he emerged as APC candidate he has not granted any interviews which kept many wondering is plan and portfolio for the state.

The words of the APC chapter in Edo, states that if Arise TV is “so eager to have Senator Okpebholo on their platform, perhaps they should consider compensating him with a sum of $1 million.”

“Only then might he entertain the notion of subjecting himself to what we can only describe as an act of media bullying.”

Amidst all the uproar the Peoples Democratic Party has also accused APC of having nothing to deliver hence the refusal to grant media houses interviews.
