The Nigeria Labour is set to convey another meeting today by 4 pm after the negotiation meeting with the tripartite committee was unsuccessful yesterday.

The Organized Labour rejected the N54,000 offer by the federal government and showed their displeasure at state governors not present at the meeting.

Angered by the offer, the Labour leaders said what the government has done is just a reduction of the salary increment of N77,000 that the federal government worker earns, accepting the N54,000 is only a reduction that they will not accept.

They insisted on the presence of the six governors from the six geo-political zones involved in the tripartite committee to hear their views later today.

Professor Theophilus Ndubuaku a tripartite committee member on the national minimum wage speaking, reaffirms Labour’s deadline to the Federal government as May 31, noting workers in the country cannot be tossed around.
