The Nigeria Labor Congress has declared that nothing will stop the planned nation wide strike and protest proposed to start from September 28 following the failure of the Federal Government to reverse the hike in electricity tariff and fuel price.

The NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, said the proposed action by the organised labour would proceed from next week after a meeting with the National executive council yesterday in Abuja.

Ayuba stated that the decision was taken by the NLC chairmen of the 36 states and FCT.

Meanwhile, the federal government has stated that the dialogue with organized labor will continue tomorrow Thursday. This is according to the minister of labor and employment, Dr.Chris Ngige.

“We are engaging with them. We’re going to engage further by Thursday with the NLC and TUC”.
