Economic activities are set to resume in Onitsha main market, Anambra State, today, Monday, as the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has given a go-ahead to traders to return to their shops with the assurance of security.

This was contained in a statement on Sunday by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, stating that all traders should report any threat and resume activities since the one-week closure had elapsed.

Residents are, however, encouraged to report any security concerns via the emergency line, 5111, while civil servants and teachers were also reminded that no work on Monday means no pay.

Finally, parents were warned to ensure their children attend school on Mondays to avoid sanctions.
