Okowa Inaugurates College Of Nursing Agbor

The Delta state Governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has stressed the need for Federal Government to train more nurses/midwives within the country as well as enter into bilateral relationships with other countries rather than make laws that would restrict brain drain.

Okowa who stated this while inaugurating and unveiling the upgrade of the state school of nursing to college of nursing Agbor, said there’s need to ensure that there’s a planned programme by the Nigerian government to train more medical personnels yearly and ensure they enter into strategic alliances with other countries in order to have a trouble free healthcare system.

Meanwhile, the  Secretary general nursing and midwifery council of Nigeria,Farouk Abubakar commended Governor Okowa for upgrading the institution adding that it would give adequate medical manpower for the state and the country at large.
