In efforts for the Federal government to relax the minds of citizens who are eager to protest nationwide on August 1 to 10, 2024, a bag of 50kg rice has been reduced to N40,000.

The news was reeled out by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, that trucks have been sent to designated areas of each state across the country.

According to the Minister when speaking to state house correspondents, after a Federal Executive Meeting Monday, there was no need for the planned protest as FG is working to see the grievances of citizens and how to make things easy.

He also added this is just a starting point that the government still has other things to make things easier as much investment has been made in agriculture, and in no time prices of food will drop drastically.

Idris said the rice is now in various centeres and it is sold for N40k, while youths too are not left out as their demands are on the table of the President.
