In line with the More Agenda, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, during a press conference in Asaba, has reiterated that the collection of ‘Deve’ has come to an end in the state.
The governor revealed that this step was unanimously taken in 2018 when he was the speaker of the State House of Assembly during the past administration of Ifeanyi Okowa, and the levies imposed on Deltans, popularly known as ‘Deve,’ were totally abolished.
According to Governor Oborevwori, the law was enacted in order for Deltans and investors to have a more relaxed atmosphere for growth and expansion without pressure, as investment opportunities in the state are huge.
