A two-day warning strike has been announced by the Nigeria Labour Congress, over the impact of petrol subsidy removal on the masses.

NLC said the Federal Government has failed to address the issues brought by the removal of petrol subsidy, therefore the warning strike will commence on Tuesday, September 5.

The union also called for an increase in the minimum salary from N30,000 to N200,000 and since the subsidy is gone, Nigerians have lost their sense of security.

There have been many talks between the Presidency and the unions to discuss relief measures for Nigerians experiencing hardship as a result of the subsidy removal.

The decision was taken at the end of the NLC National Executive Council meeting which was held in the early hours of Friday.
