NARD Suspend Strike After Meeting With President

The proposed nationwide strike by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) for today August 9th has been suspended.

On Tuesday the doctors were in a closed-door meeting with the federal government about their actions on the planned protests and strike.

The president of NARD, Emeka Orji, had told newsmen that the meeting will determine if they would go ahead with the strike.
