My Father Was Never Diabetic, Late General’s Son Opens Up

The family of the former spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, late Major General Rabe Abubakar (rtd), who died in captivity, has bluntly refuted the claims made by the Katsina state government that their father died of diabetes.

The General and his wife were kidnapped on May 30 along the Marabar Musawa road in Katsina, while his wife still remains in captivity.

One of the sons of the late general, Isyaka Rabe, firmly rejected the claims made by the state government that his father died of diabetic complications and hypertension, while other sources claim it was a snake bite. He said only God knows what killed his father, noting that anyone asking how the body of the late general was recovered should be directed to the state government.
