In a new move to break limits beyond one’s borders, a Ghanaian man has revealed that he will attempt to swim from Africa to the United States.

Dauda Seidu Bayigo announced on TikTok that he intends to break the record for the longest swimming marathon by an individual, which is currently held by Nejib, who swam for 76 hours and 30 minutes from September 15 to 18, 2018.

Bayigo stated that he would commence his swim from Ghana to the United States on June 6th.

The current holder, Nejib, swam 120 kilometers (75 miles) across the Gulf of Gabes in the Mediterranean Sea between Sfax on the mainland and the island of Djerba in 2018.
