Lover bathe girlfriend with acid for refusing marriage proposal

A man in Adamawa State, Kama Hammajoda, has allegedly attacked his girlfriend, Ladi Ishaku with a liquid substance suspected to be acid.

At an undisclosed hospital in Yola, where Ishaku is currently receiving treatment said Hammajoda an auto mechanic based in Song bathed her with acid after she told him their relationship is heading nowhere.

“He had threatened my life when I told him that our relationship would not lead to marriage.

“I refused to marry him because I got to know he lies about virtually everything. He told me he was not married, not until I found out he lied about it.

“When I confronted him about being married, it led to a serious argument,  I then told him I won’t marry him and he threatened me saying if I don’t marry him, everyone will lose.

“Shortly after our argument, my mother was burnt to death in her room, but I couldn’t link it to Hammajoda’s threat as at then.

“Last Sunday, I was lying down outside our compound due to power outage when someone tiptoed in the dark and poured acid on me.”

Currently Hammajoda who is at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nigerian Police, has denied the allegations.
