Kidnapped mother of Nigeria’s Samson Siasia regains freedom

Samson Siasia’s mother, Beauty Ogere regains freedom from captivity after 76 days.

Reports in the media say that a combined force of the Nigeria Police and Nigerian Army have rescued the mother of former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia, Beauty Ogere, on Sunday from her abductors.

The 76 year-old Beauty was kidnapped 76 days ago from her home in Bayelsa State, but not for the first time.

Recall in November of 2015, Siasia’s mother was reported as being abducted from her residence by gunmen and she was held in captivity for 12 days.

Neither the Nigeria Police nor Nigerian Army has yet confirmed the news or given a statement about the circumstances leading to the rescue mission.
