Junior Pope Confirmed Dead

The 39-year-old actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo popularly known as Junior Pope has been confirmed dead.

The actor drowned in the River Niger, yesterday afternoon while on a filming project in Asaba, was rushed to a hospital for resuscitation but was later confirmed dead.

A close source said Junior Pope died alongside two other actors while the boat was trying to cross the Anam River in Anambra State to Asaba, Delta State.

Retrieving their bodies from the capsized boat, witnesses around testified to him having a pulse,  which everyone thought he would survive but the case was the reverse.

Confirmation from the Chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria in Delta State, Emma Onyemeziem, confirmed that the actor who left behind a wife and three children has been deposited in the morgue.
