Jeddo Man Kills Self After Wife Threatens To Leave Him

The early hours of Monday, October 7, 2024, was a sad one to reckon with in the Jeddo community, Okpe LGA, as one Mr Charles committed suicide by drinking insecticide.

Charles, a vigilante and father to nine children, had argued with his wife, pleading with her not to leave him.

Things, however, turned sour after Charles drank the insecticide at his residence in Jeddo and went to his in-law’s place at Ugbokodo, where he finally succumbed to the effects of the poison.

Charles did not leave any suicide note behind, but empty bottles of the insecticide were found in his pockets.
