A riotous uproar occurred in Ugbolu, a community situated near Asaba, Delta State, today, Wednesday as a group of gunmen reportedly blocked the Ugbolu/Illah Road at Mile 5, shooting sporadically.

This is as a group of persons who identified themselves as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, allegedly enforced sit-at-home in the area.

The secessionist group had announced that sit-at-home would be observed in all parts of the southeast on May 18 as its leader, Nnamdi Kanu returns to court.

CrownFm gathered that the pandemonium claimed the life of yet to be identified individual, whereas two Dangote trucks a tricycle (Keke Napep) were set ablaze, and one Audi car was damaged.

However, it could be recalled that the leadership of IPOB had earlier publicly struck out the Sit-at-home order in the entire South East and its neighborhood.

Meanwhile, there was no confirmation report from the police at the time of filing this report, as Delta State’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe said he was yet to confirm the report.
