IGP bans indiscriminate search of mobile phones

The Inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu has banned the indiscriminate and unauthorized searching of mobile phones, laptops and other smart devices.

This was disclosed in a tweet signed by the public relations officer of the Nigerian Police Force,DCP Frank Mba.

The IGP also appealed to Nigerians “not to allow the misconduct by a few personnel of the Force to negatively impact their confidence and trust on the Police”
