How I attempted Suicide in 2018 – Real Warri Pikin

Comedienne Anita Asuoha popularly known as Real Warri Pikin has narrated her suicide attempt experience.

The comedienne in an Instagram post on Wednesday revealed that she attempted suicide over a N22 million debt.

Sharing her story in commemoration of the World Suicide Prevention Day, she said that she entered into debts following an encounter a motivational speaker who convinced them to try several businesses.

“I tried suicide so you don’t have to. In 2018, June 6, 3pm to be precise, I attempted suicide. I gave up on life because the burden was too much.”

“Life just dey hit me left right and center, life dey turn me round like barber chair. And I felt like the only way to escape is to end the pain.

Encouraging people contemplating suicide, she said “….you wey dey look me wen dey get suicidal thoughts, just understand life, that life must happen. Sometimes e go give you buffet, sometimes e go give you shovel make you go cultivate your own, build capacity and then take one day at a time.”

She encouraged suicide survivors to share their stories online.
