He’s Like a Younger Brother To Me — Peter Obi Speaks On Kenneth Okonkwo Dumping LP

On Sunday, the spokesperson of the Labour Party during the 2023 presidential election campaign, Kenneth Okonkwo dumped the party over unreconciled issues.

Okonkwo shared his grievances in a letter on social media distancing himself from Obidient Movement and the party.

He apportioned majority of the crisis rocking the party to Peter Obi as he has not been able to quench the fire.

Reacting to Kenneth’s exit from the party, Peter Obi, the flagship bearer of the 2023 election, has made his opinion known that despite Kenneth leaving the party, he cannot be looked down on.

Speaking on Monday about the bedevilling of the party, Spokesman to Peter Obi, Yunusa Tanko revealed that he reached out to the former Anambra Governor and that his principal is sad about the incident because he sees Kenneth as a younger brother who played his role during their struggle and cannot be seen as a mole.

He further said the disagreement is based on style and approach to solving problems as there was no personal misunderstanding between him(Obi) and Kenneth.
