Gunmen Kill Nine Persons In Plateau State

Yet another attack by gunmen on Kwal District of Bassa Local Government Area in Plateau State as nine persons have been confirmed dead.

Reports by the Punch on Monday said the news was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Miango Youths Development Association, Nuhu Bitrus.

Bitrus said “Yes, nine persons were killed yesterday (Sunday) in an attack in Adu village around around 9 pm.

According to the spokesperson, the community has planned on celebrating Nigeria’s 63rd independence on Monday, today, but has been cancelled as the community is mourning and praying for the safety of all their people.

Bitrus called on the government at the state and federal levels to come to their side and put a stop to killings and attacks in Bassa communities.

However, the Plateau State Police Command, PPRO, Alabo Alfred, could not be reached at the time of reporting.
