Gridlock in Warri as #EndSARS protesters block highway

Motorists plying the Effurun/DSC Roundabouts sections of the East-West Road in Uvwie council area of Delta were yesterday forced to a standstill following the crowd of #EndSARS protesters on the major highway.

The protesters, who trooped out in large numbers, converged as early as 7am at the Effurun roundabout, grounding vehicular movement. The sight was no different at the DSC Roundabout

The protesters engaged early this morning in a clean-up exercise after Sunday’s protest. A group of protesters at the time of this report are heading to Asaba, the state capital to make fresh demands aside  #EndSARS one of which is the reopening of the Warri sea-port.
