Government Would Not Take If Protest Turns Bloody — Tinubu

A stern warning has been given to those clamouring for the August 1st protest that nothing should lead to the loss of lives or property during the protest.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday with the ruling party governors, President Bola Tinubu said his government would not condone such acts of what happened in Kenya to replicate itself in Nigeria.

During the meeting where traditional rulers were present with the APC governors in the presidential villa, all hands were on deck to see a diversion of the protest.

This is coming after governors had earlier warned and pleaded with organizers that the country was already in a tense state and protest was the last thing expected.

Even the Defence Headquarters has revealed a possibility of hoodlums hijacking the protest.
