Father And Daughter Charged For Sexual Relationship, Killing Babies

A 54-year-old Polish man, Piotr Gierasik, could face life imprisonment for engaging in incest with his 20-year-old daughter, Paulina Gierasik after three decomposing dead babies were found in their basement.

The arrest of the father and his daughter in a village in Czerniki, northern Poland was made possible when the villagers noticed strange behaviours between the father and daughter.

On Friday, September 15, 2023, two babies were found on the family’s property in a shallow grave wrapped inside a plastic bag, while the third baby discovered on Saturday, September 16 was already decomposing.

Authorities have established that the two dead babies were a product of Piotr Gierasik’s relationship with his daughter who was in a consensual relationship with her father.

Prosecutors further said the third baby was the product of Piotr’s forced sexual relationship with another of his daughters and was also responsible for the third child’s death.

The babies were discovered after a tip-off from social services prompted a police investigation.

According to Mariusz Duszyński from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk,  “The woman has been charged with two counts of murder and a charge of having an incestuous relationship with her father.”

“The man was charged with three counts of murder, a charge of incest with his 20-year-old daughter, and a charge of having incestuous relations with another daughter.”

Duszynski told PAP that the bodies of the dead babies had been taken to the LM  Department of Forensic Medicine in Gdansk for autopsy examinations.
