Fake Doctor Operating Baby Factory In Orhuwhorun Busted

‎Residents of Udu LGA have been thrown into shock after the Delta State Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Warri Zone, uncovered a fake medical facility disguised as a hospital along Orhuwhorun Road that was operating as a baby factory.

‎Speaking on Tuesday, August 26, about the incident, the Chairman of the NMA Warri Zone, Dr. Djebah Bright, said the discovery was made during the association’s routine monitoring exercise to clamp down on medical quackery and unregistered facilities when four babies were rescued from the facility.

‎The hospital, identified as Blessed Gifted Hospital, located at 17 Orhuwhorun Road, near Silver Link Hotel, Udu, was operated by a fake medical doctor and director, Udom Nyakno Reuben, aka Gift Gab.
‎
‎The self-acclaimed doctor and an auxiliary nurse who was feeding the babies were arrested and taken to Ovwian Police Station before being transferred to the Police Force Headquarters in Asaba for further investigation.
‎
‎Dr. Bright, giving a stern warning against fake hospitals, said intensive efforts will be launched across the region to end such practices, even as the four babies have been taken to an orphanage in Asaba.
