As May 29th draws closer, reactions have  continued to trail the five member residents of Abuja who filed a suit against the swearing in of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding the 25%  votes in the Federal Capital Territory.

Reacting to the suit filed against the President-Elect’s swearing-in, Chief Emmanuel Uti, a  Warri based legal practitioner and  former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Warri Branch, in an interview with CROWN FM  said the petition is frivolous, dead on arrival as it only those who contested the elections that have the right to file a petition.

Speaking further, Emmanuel Uti expressed disappointment on legal practitioners for failing to advise clients before taking up cases, noting that according to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, nobody can stop the swearing-in of an elected President or Governor when he or she has been declared winner of an election by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).
