El-rufai Drags Kaduna State Assembly To Court

The past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai has dragged his predecessor’s administration to court for an indicting report by the State House of Assembly over irregularities of his tenure.

The suit was filed by El-rufai on Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Kaduna against the House Committee for violating his human rights and not giving him a chance for a fair hearing.

A few months back, the state Assembly had constituted a committee to probe the administration of El-rufai bordering on loans, contracts and other activities during his tenure and found the ex-governor wanting on a sum of over N432 billion.

Following the outcome of the House Committee report which found the activities of the ex-governor being involved with money laundering, has been faulted by El-rufai through his counsel Abdulhakeem Mustapha, SAN.
