The House of Assembly in Kaduna inaugurated a 13-member committee in April to probe the loans, grants and projects of the past administration of Nasir El-rufai.

According to a report by the chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Henry Zacharia, revealed that from 2015-2023 loans collected by the administration of ex-governor El-rufai were not used for the purpose it was stated for.

On Wednesday during the plenary, Zacharia said some of the projects implemented did not follow due process and that other commissioners, and officials under the past administration should also be prosecuted.

In reaction to the findings of the House committee, El-rufai speaking through his spokesperson, Muyiwa Adekeye, said he only worked with integrity and capacity in building Kaduna to a state of envy.

The former governor said the activities of the ad-hoc committee are a jaundice probe that should not be regarded because it is politically motivated.
