EFCC To Revoke License Of NGOs Associated With Terrorist Groups

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, has reiterated its readiness to revoke the registration of Non-Governmental Organizations found to have links with any terrorist group.

Abdulrasheed Bawa the executive Chairman of the Commission disclosed this at the opening of a one-day workshop on economic and financial crime reporting the commission organised for journalists in Maiduguri on Thursday.

Speaking through Oshodi Johnson the Maiduguri Zonal Commander of the Commission, the EFCC Chairman said, Section 56 of the Terrorism Act, also empowers the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering, to revoke the registration of any NGO linked to terrorist groups.
