Welcome to Planet Her. Doja Cat invited her fans on a “Need to Know” basis with her latest single that she released on Friday (June 11).

Hours later, she dropped the video. True to the era of Planet Her, Doja’s provocative, intergalactic-inspired third studio album, “Need To Know” accompanying music video guest stars experimental pop icon Grimes and actress Ryan Destiny partying at space-age nightclubs and bewitching cyborgs in a retro-futuristic world reminiscent of The Fifth Element and Blade Runner.

The visual follows the 25-year-old rapper hitting the town with her alien girl posse, zooming from her space suite to the nightclub in a self-driving convertible pod car. The night gets steamier when Doja and her girls take shots of a smoky vapor-like alcohol and she shares a dance with her man. Is he an alien? Or is he human?

“Need to Know” is the second single from her upcoming sophomore album Planet Her, which is due June 25, following the lead single and Billboard Hot 100 No. 5 hit “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA.
