Directorate of project monitoring saved DTSG Over N300m – Agbi

Over N300m has been saved for Delta state Government from Monitoring and Auditing of projects across the state in the past 3 months.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring/Audit, Engr. Dr. Goodnews Agbi, who disclosed this during an interview session on Crown 94.7FM, said the directorate have saved these funds from contractors who fail to execute project according to specification as assigned to them by state government.

Agbi who noted that over 150 projects have been inspected and 21 projects audited by his team, emphasized that contractors who do not meet up to the specification as stated on the BEME, will only be paid what they have executed at the site.

He further emphasized the governor’s stand on shoddy jobs, insisting that the Oborevwori administration has zero tolerance for poorly executed projects.
