The Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Emmanuel Achuenu, has said the institution’s management has fully complied with the directive given by the state House of Assembly to reinstate one embattled Grace Adah, who was demoted from academic lecturer 1 to non-academic staff since 2015 on alleged corruption.

Achuenu who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen on the heels of the lawmakers 24 hours ultimatum, said the institution was strident in strict compliance with the directives of the lawmakers, noting that management had earlier made the decision for the reinstatement long before the house gave the ultimatum.

Grace Adah when contacted to confirm if she had received the reinstatement letter, confirmed the receipt of the letter which she had signed already but complained of a few clauses which she wasn’t comfortable with.

The Rector who cleared the air on perceived grey areas in the petition written by Adah, said every point of the resolution of the house has been adhered to, noting that she had nothing to be worried about.

Recall that, Adah had earlier petitioned Delta state Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku before the state House Assembly accusing the school of a supposed unjust demotion from academic lecturer 1 to non-academic staff which according to her, she had served for too long.
