Delta, Anambra communities lament over effects of second Niger bridge construction

Delta, Anambra communities have lamented the adverse effect of the construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge.

At a town hall meeting attended by Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, secretary to the Delta State government Mr Chiedu Ebie, Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, the traditional leaders and youths of the affected communities said the construction  work had caused enormous flooding, destroying houses and farmlands.

Stating the 2nd Niger Bridge has blocked the communities from accessing the old Niger Bridge, they also demanded that government construct access roads from both bridges to the host communities
