Davido receives over N140m as cash gift ahead of 29th birthday

Nigerian music star, Davido has received over N140 million in donations from fans and friends in less than 24 hours.

The popular singer had shared his bank account details publicly, leading to a massive influx of cash into the said account.

The donations began like a joke, after the singer had taken to social media to state that anyone who has listened to his hit song should send him cash, after which he posted his account details online.

Moments later, he started giving updates and revealed that the targeted amount he is expecting is N100m which he intends to use to clear his Rolls Royce from the port.

It was immediately obvious that he would hit and beat the target, as the account rose to over 30 million in less than 4 hours.

An update by the singer now has revealed that he has crashed that target, and might be setting his sights on N200million landmark.

Some of the major contributors to the donation are: Femi Otedola, Adekunle Gold, Oba Elegushi, Akin Alabi, Emeka Okonkwo, Mr Eazi,Teni, Ikorodu boiz, Obi Cubana, Cubana Chief Priest, BBNaija’s  Nengi, Perruzi and Zlatan.
