Dangote, NNPC Shake Heads Over PMS Pricing, October Will Decide

Nigerians’ spirits were lifted seeing trucks from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, lifting products from Dangote Refinery on September 15, 2024, but it seems a little clause borders around the supplied Premium Motor Spirit.
Yesterday, the NNPCL and Dangote disagreed with the pricing of the product, which NNPCL said was obtained at N898 per liter.
Dangote, on the other hand, revealed that the price was not a reflection of the agreement made for the product since this first crude was imported and was sold at the equivalence to the dollar.
Through the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, Dangote said the statement of NNPCL getting the product at N898 was misleading and mischievous.
The notice by Dangote urged Nigerians to be patient and wait for a formal price, which will be done by the Technical Sub Committee on naira based crude sales to local refineries, appointed by President Bola Tinubu and will commence on 1 October 2024.
