As the Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has inaugurated its campaign council to go into the 2023 general elections, a public affairs analyst and Chieftain of the party in the State, Chief Pius Ovbwije says the internal challenges bedeviling part in the State has eaten the party so deeply without reconciliation visible in the nearest future and may cost the party the 2023 general election.

Chief P.O.C made this assertion in a live interview on KPOKO 100.5 FM in Effurun, noting that the leadership of the party would not have allowed the court to settle the crises rocking the party in the State as most aggrieved party chieftains across the State are still very much bitter even after the Supreme court judgement considering how they were treated by taking side with just one aspirant going to the primary election and lastly the court.

Speaking further, the former Commissioner in the Board of the DESOPADEC alluded that both Olorogun Edevbie and RT. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori are strong members of the party in the State and the hierarchy of the party in the State made the mistake of taking sides with Sheriff Oborevwori going into the elections as if they are not in the same party which has been the root cause of the problem the party is facing presently.
