Buy Weapon to Save Yourself – Zamfara Rep Member Urges Constituency

Following the attack by bandits on Bungudu Local Government in Zamfara and the abduction of the LGA Chairman, Nura Abdullahi, in the early hours of Saturday, the House of Representatives member Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, popularly known as Zannan Bungudu, has urged his constituency to withdraw their savings and acquire weapons for self-defense.

During the attack, four members of the chairman’s security were killed, while Abdullahi, along with his wife, children, and some other family members, was taken into the forest.

Reacting to the incident in an interview on DCL Hausa on Sunday, Zannan Bungudu said, “I advise the people I represent to withdraw their money and buy guns for self-defense. Whatever they can afford, even if it is an AK-47, AK-49, or any other weapon, they should contribute money, get the weapons if they know where to buy them, and protect their communities.

“I know this is against the Constitution, but killing innocent people is also against the Constitution. If you are faced with two difficult situations that are both illegal, it is not bad to choose one to save lives.”
