Black Night in Plateau: Death Toll Rises

On Sunday night, bandits launched an attack on the Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas of Plateau State, killing many, and the death toll keeps rising.

Ten bodies have currently been recovered in both communities following the attack, a community leader associated with the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong, said. He added that two more bodies of their members were recovered from Dorowa Babuje, while another person was shot dead in Jol in the Riyom local government council.

Accounts from the community leader revealed that the attack occurred at about 7:27 PM and left three others seriously injured, adding that the injured victims are still recovering in the hospital.

The PPRO of Plateau, DSP Alfred Alabo, is yet to give full details of the violent attack.
