The election of Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been affirmed by the Court of Appeal in Lagos.

Honorable Erhiatake of the PDP in Delta State won the election of Ethiope Federal Constituency defeating, Ben Rolands Igbakpa and Mr Halims Ahoda of the NNPP and APC.

The judgement by the three judges on Tuesday, Festus Ogbuinaya, Justice Senchi, and Justice Waziri was in favour of the former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori’s daughter.

The appellate court said the appeal of the PDP candidate was meritorious and allowed the same, thereby setting aside the ruling of the lower court.

In excitement following the ruling of the appeal,  Erhiatake lauded the court for allowing democracy to stand and gave the victory to God and her constituents.
