Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), yesterday, fulfilled the promise he made to the family of slain Deborah Samuel, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State.

CROWN FM reported that Deborah Samuel was accused of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammed and was stoned to death by her Muslim colleagues and her corpse was set ablaze by the religious extremists.

Deborah’s death was condemned by well-meaning Nigerians who preached against religious intolerance.

Moved by the cries of Deborah’s parents, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere contacted the family and offered to relocate them to Port Harcourt, where they will start up their lives afresh. He also offered to give scholarships to the siblings of Deborah Samuel.

He said: “Deborah’s parents agreed to relocate to Port Harcourt to begin a new life and in a video call, I offered Deborah’s immediate younger brother an educational scholarship abroad.

“I also promised to give Deborah’s other siblings automatic scholarships to the university level. In addition, free housing, a job for the father, and a business for the mother were promised to the family of Deborah”, he said in a statement.

However, fulfilling the promise, Apostle Chibuzor, yesterday gifted the family a 14 flats mini estate, a car, and a scholarship to study abroad.

The cleric shared the information via his Twitter page and he described it as a “Promise well fulfilled”.
