Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has performed the ground-breaking ceremony for a $70 million integrated animal feed manufacturing facility being developed by Olam Agri in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area.
The plant is designed to produce 450,000 metric tonnes of poultry feed and nearly 100,000 metric tonnes of aquafeed annually, targeting livestock and fish farmers across Nigeria’s South-South and South-East geopolitical zones to tackle high production costs and supply deficits.
Speaking at the ceremony, Oborevwori described the facility as a major catalyst for the state’s industrialization and agricultural expansion agenda.
He noted that the multi-million-dollar investment stands as a direct result of the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit held in August 2026, marking a critical operational milestone under his administration’s MORE Agenda.
“This investment demonstrates growing investor confidence in Delta State and reinforces our strategic focus on food security, job creation, and sustainable economic growth,” Oborevwori stated.
