Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, has assured the public that the conduct and operational performance of police personnel before, during, and after the 2027 general elections will make Nigerians proud of the Nigeria Police Force.

IGP Disu gave the assurance while answering questions from newsmen in Abuja during the official launch of a book titled “The Origin of Women in Nigeria Police Force,” authored by 96-year-old retired Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dame Stella Okuyiga, one of the nation’s pioneer female police officers.

Addressing concerns over election security and neutrality, the police chief stated that the Force executive management has held strategic coordination meetings with State Commissioners of Police across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Disu emphasized that comprehensive operational directives and training modules are being deployed across all commands to enforce strict professionalism, maintain public order, and ensure seamless electoral security throughout the electioneering period.
