Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralized over 40 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, including a high-ranking commander, in a precision air strike on an enemy enclave at Badu Village in Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.
The military operation was executed on October 10, 2026, by the Air Component of the Joint Task Force after intelligence revealed the combatants were gathering to launch coordinated attacks against military positions in the Sector 3 area of responsibility.
Confirming the operation in a statement on Monday, the acting Military Information Officer for Operation Hadin Kai, Capt. Mohammed Goni, disclosed that the strike also destroyed two tactical vehicles and approximately 20 logistics motorcycles.
Capt. Goni noted that Battle Damage Assessment and preliminary Human Intelligence confirmed the death of over 40 insurgent fighters, including a prominent ISWAP Qaid (commander), severely dismantling the group’s operational capacity in the general area.
