Maiduguri Bomb Blast, Critics Speak

Post created on 2:46 pm

More than 23 have been confirmed dead following a terrorist suicide bombing in Maiduguri on Monday evening, with 108 others severely injured.

The suicide bombing occurred almost simultaneously at the post office, a popular Maiduguri market, and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

However, following the incident, various groups are calling on President Bola Tinubu to prioritize security over traveling.

Speaking on Tuesday, the Senator representing Borno South, Sen. Ali Ndume, said the 2027 election should be downplayed and that security, which is a core value, should be the focus of the President, as the people who will vote are dying.

Reacting further, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Timi Frank, on Tuesday blasted President Tinubu for his ceremonial trip to the UK while chaos is burning, saying that there is no leadership.
