APC To Use N500bn To Rally Northern Leaders – Cleric

There have been roadmaps structured by the All Progressives Congress to use religious and traditional leaders to influence public opinion in preparation for the January 16, 2027 election.

The claim was made by a Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sunusi Khalil, that the APC planned to spend N500 billion to mobilize Islamic scholars and traditional rulers in the North to support the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

From a clip by Rigasa TV News, Khalil alleged he was approached to join the movement but turned it down and warned those who approached him not to bring such proposals to him again.

The Islamic cleric’s claim also implicated an individual within government circles who contacted him regarding the alleged arrangement, but he refused to cooperate. However, no response from the ruling party has been issued to debunk the statement.
